Dungeonesque: World of Redmark (5e Adventures & Maps)

We've hit our second stretch goal — all backers will now receive the digital copy of a new Black and White Gazetteer (the world map split into 16 printable, 8.5" x 11” regions)!

In other news, I wanted to give you more insights to what you get when you back at the $50 level or higher. I'll be setting up a private Google+ community for our $50+ Backers (I'm calling these folks 'Charter Members'). Members of this community will get (at no cost) early digital copies of new products, often months before the release date. Our plans are subject to change, but right now one of the new products we're working on is tentatively called 'Dungeonesque: Oracles & Inspiration.'

This will be a print product in booklet format that is specifically geared for use during the game session. While Wizard's 5e Dungeon Master Guide is really cool, it has so many tools that are specifically geared for use in session prep before the game, it makes the book really long. Consequently, it can be hard to find things during the game. The 'Dungeonesque: Oracles & Inspiration' product will be small and ergonomically well designed so it will only take seconds (not minutes) to find what you need during the game. We know that if it takes too long to find a passage in an RPG book, you'll often not take time to use it during a game.

This tool changes that by giving you fast-access tools to help you run dynamic, fast-paced, sandbox games! We'll also experiment with putting key tables and page numbers on the back of the book so even the index is more accessible than in books made for shelf distribution! Here's a sampling of the contents (plus much more!):

Combat

• Combat Outs, Critical Fail / Fumbles, Escalations, Hit Locations

People

• Aristocrats, City NPCs, Contact Reactions, Motive / Needs, NPC Encounters, NPC Names, NPC Quirks, NPC Reactions, Relationships, Rules for Hirelings (wages, etc.)

Places

• Businesses (w. Plot Hooks), Locations, Tavern Names, Town Names, Time & Tides, Weather & Hazards

Things

• I Search the Body, Mundane Objects, Ship Names, Quick Traps

Treasure

• Treasure Tables, Unique Magic Items, Books & Tomes, Curiosities (similar to Trinkets)

Conversions

• On-the-fly 1e to 5e Conversion Guide

1e Details and a Free Podcast-Created Adventure

Our Kickstarter has one week to go! We are closing in our our Black-and-White Gazetteer stretch goal.

Please note that we have decided to add 1e versions of ALL the adventures. Here's how it will work. Backers receiving digital copies of the adventures will receive BOTH 1e and 5e versions. Backers receiving print copies of the adventures will receive coupons to print (at cost) BOTH 1e and 5e versions of the adventures. There is no additional cost to you to get the 1e versions!

In other news, there are two great podcasts where I had the opportunity to talk not only about our Adventures and Maps, but also some other cool topics.

We're Adding 1e Versions of the Adventures!

I had the pleasure to appear on the latest Drink, Spin, Run podcast and talk about a lot of gaming topics, especially 5e and techniques we use when we run the old 1e modules in 5e. Aside from having a great time, we also announced that our Kickstarter is adding 1e versions of all the adventure products, including the bonus adventures! First Stretch Goal Unlocked: Bonus Adventure

Day 2 of the Kickstarter and we've reached our first Stretch Goal. All backers get a bonus 1 Sheet adventure, with gorgeous full-color maps! Here's a picture of the cover:

Now, on to our next stretch goal which is a Gazetteer of the sandbox setting of The World of Redmark.

The Gazetteer takes the 24x36" poster map and breaks it up into 16 regions which have been specially designed to fit nicely into 8x10 hex maps. (This is basically the Classic Traveller hex format in the old Little Black Books for you Grognards out there!). Each 8x10 region fits onto an 8.5x11" page which can be printed and handed out to your players for use as a campaign adventure area. See picture* below.
